Job summary

Edwards Vacuum, LLC in Dallas, TX seeks an Onsite Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot our vacuum products at customer sites. You will deliver frontline support in safety-focused operations and maintain high customer satisfaction through clear communication and precise reporting.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in a relevant technical field, strong English communication, and the ability to read technical drawings while using software to record data and prepare

• 1-3 years in a technical field (electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or vacuum) with customer-facing experience preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; ability to read technical drawings and use software to record data and write reports.

The most important characteristic of our Onsite Service Engineer is that you use and continuously develop your knowledge and technical skills to enable customer satisfaction & great teamwork. Onsite Service Engineer (OSE) enjoy taking on challenges and finding solutions. You are cool under pressure and if you don’t know the answer, you’ll use our processes, systems, and network to find it. You take ownership for creating a high-quality work. You will be expected to deliver frontline support in key operational activities including installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Edwards products, with key areas of focus being on safety and quality while a maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, resilient mindset is essential for this role which offers an opportunity to learn and develop your engineering skills by working on exciting and highly technical equipment.

To succeed, you will need

Education level

• High School Diploma.
• Prefer an AS degree (full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree).

Relevant Previous experience

• 1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum. Ideally, with customer facing experience.

Knowledge areas/Skills

• Strong customer focus to ensure delivered solutions meet customer expectations and timeframes, while working in alignment with Edwards strategies and processes.
• Self-directed, with the ability to understand and resolve problems aligned with job responsibilities and escalates through the appropriate channels when required.
• Proactively seeks customer feedback and asks questions to understand customer ‘s business.
• Ability to share technical expertise and knowledge and provide coaching to less experienced team members.
• Collaborates and supports with team members to deliver company objectives.
• Complies with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure organizational, safety and health obligations are met.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly.
• Able to use computer software to record data and write reports.
• Can understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to work e.g., technical drawings.
