Job summary

General Motors (GM) seeks a General Supervisor for Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) to lead daily warehouse operations, oversee parts orders, and manage salaried and hourly UAW staff across shipping, receiving, inventory control, and quality.

You will balance safety, productivity, and cost while driving standardized work, continuous improvement, and compliance with safety regulations on site in Lansing, MI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supervising employees in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
• 2+ years experience leading a team.
• Analytical and technical computer skills to develop, maintain, and analyze data.
• Proficiency with storage, retrieval, inventory, and warehouse management software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work onsite on any shift as required by the business.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize warehouse workflows to support timely shipment of customer orders.
• Diagnose operational issues by identifying gaps, determining root causes, and implementing corrective adjustments.
• Allocate resources and set direction to address department constraints and achieve shift objectives.
• Lead, train, and evaluate supervisors and support staff.
• Enforce consistent use of standardized work, processes, tools, and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct safety audits and training.
