Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead daily inbound and outbound activities in a distribution center. You will oversee a represented workforce, drive inventory accuracy, and ensure timely shipments while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will rotate between first- and second-shift schedules, may include nights and weekends, and receive on-the-job training and professional development to strengthen operational performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• 3+ years supervising employees in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics.
• Willingness to work first or second shift, and nights/weekends when required.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and analyze data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to organize work and solve operational problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide department operations using standardized processes and methods.
• Lead, train, coach, develop, recognize, and evaluate union team members and direct reports.
• Monitor inventory, warehouse performance reports, costs, and KPIs.
• Cultivate a safety culture by implementing and enforcing safety rules and regulations.
• Implement lean principles and identify improvements via layered audits.
• Achieve quality standards by communicating goals and solving problems.
• Maintain relationships with employees, union representatives, partners, peers, and management.
• Administer company policies consistently and model GM behaviors.
• Complete administrative tasks, including timekeeping and records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
