Job summary

Qualifications

• On Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (ODS-C) with a minimum of one year post certification experience in an ACoS-CoC-accredited hospital-based cancer registry within the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts and enters data from medical records into an electronic database.
• Review and interpret medical records to be abstracted into the database (demographic, diagnostic, clinical, treatment and pathologic data).
• Perform casefinding and monthly review of neoplasm discharge listings to ensure all reportable cases are abstracted accurately.
• Perform follow-up for all reportable neoplasms, assist in preparation for and tracking of cancer conferences and tumor boards, assist with annual report preparation, individual study requests and quality audits as assigned.
