Job summary
Next Step Systems is looking for a Senior Network/Infrastructure Engineer to work onsite in Charlotte, NC. The role requires strong experience in enterprise network design, deploying and supporting modern infrastructure platforms, with a focus on secure data transfer and automation.
The ideal candidate will manage VMware and Azure workloads, optimize infrastructure, and ensure network reliability across various platforms including Kubernetes and firewalls.

Qualifications
- 5+ years in a senior network/infrastructure engineering role supporting enterprise environments (hybrid datacenter + cloud).
- Strong, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, VMware, and Microsoft Azure are must-haves.
- Proven experience designing/supporting enterprise networks including LAN/WAN and VPNs.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operations of the VMware environment.
- Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure workloads.
- Design and support enterprise data/voice/video networks.
