Job summary

The Boeing Company in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Lead Mechanical System Design Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team. You will lead mechanical, fluid system and thermal environment development and act as SME for fuels systems on MS&B programs.

Responsibilities include detailed design, documentation, proposals, and coordinating with test management. This onsite role requires a BS in engineering, 9+ years of experience, and strong ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• 9+ years of experience in mechanical systems design
• Practical experience and knowledge of Fuels, Hydraulic Systems, or ECS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment
• Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
• Perform detailed design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
• Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Prepare proposal and new business development efforts
• Work with test program management for work estimation and intake process
• Delegate tasks to design team and provide supervision to junior engineers.
