Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager to design, plan and implement maintenance programs that optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment.

This role requires leadership across maintenance, powerhouse, and related staff with a focus on safety, cost control, and continuous improvement. The incumbent will manage budgets, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive long-range strategy for maintenance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years in Engineering or Maintenance, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
Candidate should have experience leading maintenance programs in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Provide a Safe and Environmentally Sound Work Environment – Promote safety awareness, conduct safety meetings, investigate accidents and improve plans.
Maintain Quality Standards – Educate personnel on BSJ Maintenance Standard QA modules and reduce waste while improving housekeeping.
Ensure Cost Effectiveness – Develop budgets (> $30M annually) and control costs aligned with plant objectives.
Maintain Maintenance Objectives – Plan for growth, manpower, and equipment needs; implement root cause countermeasures.
