Job summary

Holtec is seeking a Senior Labor Relations Specialist to serve as the plant's labor-relations expert for the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert, MI. This onsite role reports to the Corporate Director of Human Resources and focuses on contract administration, cost control, and constructive employee relations with union leadership.

The position requires deep knowledge of CBAs, grievance handling, and negotiation, with strong collaboration across HR, Legal, Finance, and Operations to minimize risk

Qualifications

• 7+ years in HR, employee or labor relations in a unionized setting.
• Experience interpreting/ adminis tering CBAs and handling grievances.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws and practical application.
• Experience supporting collective bargaining or contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Advise plant leadership on contract interpretation, past practice and grievances.
• Administer CBAs, document interpretations, settlements, and side letters.
• Lead or support grievance investigations and arbitration preparation.
• Prepare for collective bargaining, costing, and implementation of changes.
• Analyze labor-cost drivers and recommend corrective actions within contract.
• Partner with Finance/Payroll to ensure correct wage rates and premiums.
