Job summary

Fireline Sprinkler LLC seeks an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our fire sprinkler design department on site in Wisconsin. You will oversee design operations, mentor designers, ensure technical excellence, and align with project goals and codes.

The role collaborates with Operations, Project Management, Sales, Fabrication, and Field teams to deliver compliant, high-quality designs. Requires NICET cert, 10+ years design, 5+ years leadership, and ~25% travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• NICET Certification required.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection system design.
• Proficiency with hydraulic calculations and fabrication processes.
• Experience with design software such as AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, Revit, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for design managers and fire sprinkler designers.
• Oversee the design of fire sprinkler systems, including layouts, hydraulic calculations, fabrication drawings, and stock lists.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
• Review and approve complex designs while providing technical guidance and problem-solving support.
• Manage department workload, staffing, and resource allocation to support project schedules and business growth.
• Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Sales, Fabrication, and Field teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor key performance indicators, department productivity, and project milestones.
• Support strategic planning, technology implementation, and long-term departmental growth.
