Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field plus three years of experience in data processes and standards.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable.
• Experience with relational database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL (MySQL preferred).
• Experience with statistical packages SAS, SPSS, and R (R preferred).

Responsibilities

• Acquire, manage, and analyze data from multiple sites or sources.
• Configure and manage technology solutions for receipt, transformation, validation, and storage of data.
• Ensure report and query usage of data remains appropriate.
• Act as a database consultant to help users meet their needs.
• Develop automated quality control procedures to assess data quality and produce reports for data owners.
• Collaborate across data collection instrument design, database management, data analysis, and report/dashboard creation.
• Develop and perform analyses for business or research needs.
• Explain analysis methods and assumptions; support interpretation of results and implications.
• Document methods and results with data dictionaries, SOPs, and analysis methodology descriptions.
• Coordinate consistent implementation of data quality controls and access to central data repositories with onsite or field-based counterparts.
• Perform related responsibilities as assigned.
