Job summary

DeWinter Group in Livermore, CA is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to optimize manufacturing cost data, maintain standard costs, and support month-end close and budgeting processes. This fully onsite, temp-to-hire role collaborates with operations and management to improve inventory accuracy and profitability.

You will analyze variances, reconcile large data sets, review inventory valuation, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of cost accounting experience in a standard-cost manufacturing environment
• Advanced proficiency with MRP II systems and Oracle ERP software
• Strong expertise in Excel and Word
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently with excellent problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience with inventory valuation, standard cost updates, and inventory management
• Ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets, identify obsolete inventory, and perform variance analysis
