Job summary

Raytheon in Goleta, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the assembly of Focal Plane Arrays and optical components, translating designs into build plans and schedules on the factory floor.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and design engineering to enable reliable, high‑quality products while supporting continuous improvement and adherence to DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and less than 2 years of experience.
• Experience in semiconductor cleanroom environments.
• U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assemble Focal Plane Arrays and optical components from design to shipment.
• Provide engineering support for the manufacturing factory by interpreting drawings into build plans and schedules.
• Create and maintain BOMs, travelers, manage tooling, and lead corrective actions.
• Perform First Article Inspections ensuring hardware meets quality requirements.
