Job summary

Eastern Security Services, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician to join our Rochester-area team.

You will install, test, and service advanced security and life-safety systems at residential and commercial sites, including intrusion alarms, fire systems, video surveillance, and access control. You’ll travel to client locations, work outdoors in varied conditions, and ensure every installation meets high-quality standards through calibration and training on system use.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel as required
• Comfortable outdoors – weather variations
• Able to work at heights and in small spaces
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must maintain a clean, professional image
• Willing to overtime and on-call after six months
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and service security and life-safety systems at customer locations
• Run wiring, mount devices, and install systems (intrusion, fire, video, access, intercom)
• Calibrate and ensure high-quality installations
• Provide clear explanations and training on system use
• Set up mobile/desktop monitoring apps
• Travel to residential and commercial sites as required
