Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Security Engineer to join Information Security and help protect the SpaceX mission. This role writes and operates the software and infrastructure behind SpaceX security standards.

You will design, implement, and run authentication services, cloud security, and scalable security controls, coordinating with IT, legal, HR, and software teams to reduce risk. The position requires onsite work and willingness to extend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field or 2+ years of security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain technology that protects SpaceX systems, networks, and data.
• Stand up authentication and identity services, MFA, and network access control.
• Automate identity lifecycle for Information Security and partner organizations.
