Job summary

Inherent Technologies, Inc. in Dallas seeks a Security Consultant to implement and review enterprise firewall and security controls.

You will work onsite, configure Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and related security platforms, and coordinate with IT teams on incident response and risk mitigation. The role requires hands-on experience with ISE for VPN authentication, DLP technologies, and knowledge of routing protocols.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, FXOS, Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama.
• Deep understanding of Palo Alto concepts like Security Zones and policy ordering.
• Experience with Cisco ISE for VPN authentication and AAA.
• Knowledge of routing protocols and incident handling.
• Familiarity with Symantec DLP and various security technologies.
• Experience with ITIL processes and risk/impact analysis.

Responsibilities

• Configure Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.
• Audit firewalls and update ACLs.
• Manage log management solutions with cross-team coordination.
• Highlight risks and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Ensure quality validation of configuration changes.
