Job summary

Agate Social Works is seeking a full-time School Social Worker based in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul Area. This role focuses on providing social-emotional support to students through counseling and interventions, collaborating with educators and families to improve student engagement and outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Social Work and experience in K–12 environments, delivering direct support and training to staff on mental health and trauma-informed practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and social-emotional skill-building with children and adolescents.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams.
• Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and school-based mental health services.
• Strong abilities in documentation and case management.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social-emotional support to students through counseling and interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to improve student engagement.
• Participate in IEP and student support meetings, document services, and contribute to plans.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff on mental health practices.
