Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in Illinois seeks a School Social Worker to provide direct social-emotional support to students on a district-wide caseload. This full-time, onsite contract runs from as soon as possible through March across multiple campuses near Algonquin, IL.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois SSW license and an IL PEL, have experience in a school setting, and can collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop interventions and support student well-being.

Qualifications

• Illinois SSW license required.
• PEL issued by Illinois required.
• School experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students across the district.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop individualized intervention plans.
• Assist in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and creation of safe learning environments.
• Support special education processes including conducting evaluations and attending IEP meetings.
• Offer resources and referrals for students and families in need.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district guidelines.
