Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Facilities Technician to manage building issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with contractors. This is a non-exempt, onsite role reporting to the Facilities Manager and supporting multiple academies within the Phoenix area.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, 3–5 years in facilities or maintenance, and may hold a technical HVAC/EPA credential.

Qualifications

HS Diploma required; Bachelor's preferred.
Technical degree (HVAC and/or EPA) preferred.
3–5 years of experience in facilities/maintenance.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary contact for local personnel for building issues.
Monitor/assist contractors and outside vendors performance to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
Independently perform routine scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.
May act as the project coordinator for small construction and repair projects.
Assist with maintaining building security and respond to emergencies as needed.
Solicit bids and quotes from vendors.
Transport goods or equipment as needed.
Perform routine quality control inspections of janitorial and landscaping subcontractors to ensure property is maintained properly.
Arrange for new HVAC RTU air filters quarterly.
Perform preventive maintenance checks on RTUs.
Coordinate and monitor life safety inspections for annual and other system inspections.
