Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC - Enbridge site in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a Safety Specialist for a 1-year onsite contract. You will collaborate with partners to address field safety issues, inspect construction and pipe installations, and support incident investigations with a focus on compliance and risk reduction.

Ideal candidates hold OSHA 30, a safety degree or HAZWOPER, and 5+ years of health & safety experience; energy industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 hour training completed.
• Competent person (excavation) certification or designation.
• First Aid/CPR trained and qualified.
• 5 years health & safety experience or degree plus 3 years.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience applying defined HSE risk processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with external and internal partners on safety issues and inspect pipelines where needed.
• Regularly audit area projects and contractor safety plans for compliance.
• Participate in safety assessments, inspections, and quality reviews.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action monitoring.
• Promote a positive safety culture on construction projects.
