Job summary

CFS, Dayton-based transportation leader, seeks a Safety Manager to spearhead a strong safety culture and ensure DOT compliance across operations. You will directly influence driver safety, regulatory adherence, and organizational excellence in a visible onsite role.

This position reports to leadership, focusing on incident investigations, driver qualification oversight, and coaching on Hours of Service and E-Log systems, with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a safety-focused role.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of transportation safety, regulatory compliance, and driver management.
• CDL, McLeod, Qualcomm, or Drug Testing Certification experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead accident and equipment incident investigations and coordinate reporting efforts.
• Maintain DOT compliance and oversee driver qualification files.
• Serve as a resource for drivers on daily safety and compliance matters.
• Provide guidance on DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
• Train and support drivers on Hours of Service requirements and E-Log systems.
