Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field preferred.
• Professional safety certifications such as OSHA 10/30, ASP, CSP, CHST or equivalent are a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing safety and on-floor safety leadership.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards.
• Ability to coordinate training and present safety requirements clearly to staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve site-wide safety programs and initiatives.
• Inspect production floors, equipment, and processes to identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and certifications (LOTO, PPE, hearing conservation, powered industrial trucks, hazard communication).
• Conduct incident and near-miss investigations and perform root cause analyses.
• Support internal/external audits, regulatory inspections, and customer assessments.
• Monitor safety metrics and prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
• Maintain safety records and compliance systems (SDS, training, inspections).
• Oversee contractor safety orientation and support on-site projects and capital improvements.
• Coach safe work practices with supervisors and managers to strengthen accountability.
