Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee safety programs across production, warehouse, laboratory, and other areas. The role includes hands-on inspections, OSHA recordkeeping, and partnering with management to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

The position emphasizes developing and coordinating safety training, conducting investigations, ensuring emergency readiness, and maintaining comprehensive safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Safety, Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and reporting, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, communication, organizational and follow-through skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety requirements such as hazard communication, PPE, lockout/tagout, machine guarding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer the Company’s workplace safety programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives across production and other operational areas.
• Maintain regular presence on the production floor to observe operations and provide guidance on safety.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, site audits, hazard assessments, and risk assessments; document findings and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA requirements and Company safety policies; recommend changes as needed.
• Maintain OSHA injury and illness records and coordinate regulatory reporting and documentation.
• Coordinate OSHA inspections and information requests with HR and management.
• Develop and maintain the Company’s safety training program and track completion.
• Lead investigations of injuries and incidents; identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Coordinate return-to-work and modified-duty activities with HR and management.
• Track safety metrics and provide management with trends and risks.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and oversee safety equipment.
