Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services Calder Woods in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time on-site care of residents. The RN will implement unit goals, coordinate resident care management, supervise staff, and provide direct nursing care per physician orders.

Responsibilities include rounds, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with the DON and Activity Director to ensure high-quality, individualized resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one year related experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred.
• Proficient working knowledge of safe nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow service plans and physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the individual service plan is followed and supervise treatments prescribed by physician.
• Take meaningful rounds with residents and record visits and chart updates.
• Administer medications and monitor medication room, cart, and refrigerator.
• Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides, assign duties, and coordinate with DON and Activity Director.
