Job summary

Prominence Health, a value-based care organization, seeks a Coder of Risk Adjustment to perform accurate post‑review coding and documentation analysis onsite. You will support HEDIS data collection, prepare charts for health assessments, and guide coding and documentation requirements for providers.

Based in McAllen, TX, this role requires knowledge of CMS HCC risk adjustment, careful chart review, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy and compliance with UHS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year CMS HCC risk adjustment coding experience.
• Certification in coding (CCS, CPC, CRC, or RHIT) preferred.
• Proficient in ICD-10 and CPT II coding.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy 95%+.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate CMS HCC risk adjustment coding and documentation review.
• Support chart abstraction for HEDIS data collection.
• Prepare charts for health assessments and identify coding opportunities for provider review.
• Ensure guidance on coding and documentation requirements is followed.
• Contribute to compliance with organizational coding standards.
