Job summary

Skyworks' Irvine, CA design center invites a Co-op Module Design/Validation intern to join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering team. You will work under an experienced mentor and contribute to cutting-edge chipsets for wireless devices while living in a vibrant coastal city.

As part of this internship, you will tune RF front-end modules, perform impedance matching, evaluate parameters, validate across conditions, and create HFSS models with ADS simulations, delivering clear results

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Electrical Engineering (BS, MS, or Ph.D.).
  • Knowledge of semiconductors, analog circuits, RF fundamentals, wireless systems.
  • Understand RF module blocks and S-parameters; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Tuning RF front-end modules in the lab.
  • Impedance matching using the Smith chart.
  • Evaluating RF parameters like IP3, P1dB, NF, return loss.
  • Validating performance across supply, temperature, and frequency.
  • Creating 3D models in HFSS and simulating S-Parameter files in ADS.
  • Creating compliance matrices and presenting a results summary.
