Job summary

PRK Williams Building Group is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple ground-up residential construction projects in Eastern Iowa. The role combines office-based PM duties with direct onsite supervision, including budgeting, scheduling, submittals, and coordination with crews and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will manage safety, quality control, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of combined project management and site supervision experience in residential and commercial construction (preferred).
• Proficient with Excel, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for homeowners, managers, subcontractors, and other groups.
• Ability to plan ahead, manage project schedules, and control budgets and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develops project budget in alignment with bid documents.
• Performs construction project estimating, including cost estimates and takeoffs.
• Establishes bid/construction drawings and scope of work with Project designer.
• Develops project plans, goals, staffing, scheduling, risks, contingencies, and resources.
• Manages procurement of materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Maintains project communications with leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversees onsite construction operations to meet schedule and budget.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Tracks risks and issues and mitigates them.
• Prepares project status reports for customers and teams.
• Coordinates changes from original specifications and documents.
