Job summary

TYLin is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer for roadway transportation projects in Riverside County. The role is on-site, inspecting construction procedures and ensuring contractor work meets contract documents for roadway and bridge projects.

The candidate will support daily inspection activities, document pay quantities, and assist in Final Estimate preparation while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and collaboration within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of highway and bridge construction experience.
• Ability to resolve project issues effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily inspection reports.
• Inspect foundation construction (pile driving/drilling).
• Complete bridge superstructure calculations using four scales.
• Inspect falsework placement and removal.
• Assist in documenting pay quantities and Final Estimate.
• Ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Ensure documentation and accuracy of monthly progress payments.
• Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance.
• Other duties as needed.
