Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a qualified Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at Mississippi State Hospital - Whitfield, MS. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and work to improve quality of life in line with patient goals.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in nutrition (or related), a Master’s in Nutrition, CDR eligibility or certification, ongoing continuing education, and state licensure. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed the national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents and staff.
• Following Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulations.
• Collaborating with other departments to set up procedures related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participating in continuous quality improvement programs.
