Job summary

Cordoba Corporation, based in California, is seeking a Field Safety Specialist to enforce compliance on Authority property and observe field activities within the Transportation Sector. The FSS will oversee safety programs, guide contractors, and collaborate with the Construction Office on safety improvements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in railroad, transportation operations, or construction safety, with strong knowledge of applicable regulations and data analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of railroad, transportation operations, or construction/industrial safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of US safety regulations (federal, state, local, railroad, and construction).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking; ability to gather, organize, analyze, and present data to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure OSHA, FRA, and Cal/OSHA compliance.
• Perform safety reviews for construction-related activities and provide improvement recommendations.
• Support environmental health and safety programs, including hazardous materials and respirator protection.
• Develop programs to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and hazards.
• Facilitate field safety and project meetings; participate in on-call incident response.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
