Job summary

HRsmart seeks a Quality Lead for the Construction BART Silicon Valley project. The role oversees QA/QC activities and ensures compliance with the Quality Management System on construction sites at Newhall Yard and West Portal.

It focuses on maintaining high quality throughout the construction process. Responsibilities include managing QA/QC, coordinating testing with sub-consultants, reviewing quality plans and schedules, and driving continuous improvement across suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a construction-related field.
• 5+ years in design-build construction quality control management.
• Experience managing independent materials testing and special inspectors.
• CA PE license or CCM desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) for the project.
• Manage QA/QC activities and oversight of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with Bechtel's material testing lab and sub-consultants for duplicate testing.
• Oversee quality across off-site fabricators, manufacturers and deliverables.
• Review and approve quality plans, procedures and submittals.
• Maintain the project quality audit schedule and carry out audits.
• Lead corrective action processes and preventive actions with project staff.
• Support contract closeout and Punchlist activities.
