Spectraforce Technologies seeks a Quality - Laboratory Technician for 12 months on-site at Summit, NJ. You will support Critical Reagent and Raw Material labs, managing inventory, samples, and pack-out activities to keep testing streams ready and compliant.

The role emphasizes documentation, safe handling, and adherence to GDP and EHS standards, with collaboration across QC, ASAT, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years in laboratory operations, manufacturing, inventory, or sample management; OR an Associate/Medical Tech degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience; a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or related field preferred.
  • General understanding of cGMP, GDP, FDA-regulated environments, and EHS expectations.
  • Experience with inventory control, sample handling, material movement, pack out, or laboratory support activities.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system preferred.
  • Basic math skills for counts, reconciliations, and documentation reviews.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, safety procedures, gowning, and material handling in regulated labs.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn site-specific inventory/documentation systems.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate records across inventory, samples, cleaning, and walkthroughs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with timely escalation of safety, inventory, or compliance concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory for Critical Reagent and Raw Material labs, including cycle counts, stocking, reconciliation, organization, and escalation of shortages or expired materials.
  • Handle sample management activities: receipt, labeling, storage verification, movement, chain-of-custody support, and appropriate storage conditions.
  • Coordinate and perform pack out activities for samples and materials with proper documentation and labeling.
  • Clean and maintain lab equipment, work areas, carts, and storage spaces per procedures and housekeeping requirements.
  • Support routine lab walkthroughs to identify gaps and assist with timely closure of observations.
  • Participate in EHS walkthroughs and safety readiness activities, including PPE, waste handling, chemical storage, spill kits, and sharps containers.
  • Record inventory, sample handling, cleaning, pack out, and walkthrough data per GDP requirements.
  • Collaborate with QC analysts, EHS, and support functions to ensure materials, samples, equipment, and spaces are ready for testing, audits, and daily operations.
  • Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, gowning, waste disposal, and site policies in cGMP areas, including areas with blood-derived materials.
  • Perform other duties to support QC operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
