Job summary

RTX is seeking an Onsite Inspector to join the Collins Aerospace Operations team in Jamestown, ND. You will inspect sub-components and final parts, verify measurements, and ensure conformance to drawings while documenting results and reporting non-conformances.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, experience with micrometers/calipers, and high attention to detail; familiarity with ERP/SAP and PLM tools is a plus. This is a U.S.-based position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or vocational/technical education.
• Experience reviewing engineering prints and drawings.
• Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers and calipers).
• High attention to detail in performing inspections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sub-component and final component parts for conformance to requirements.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using measurement tools.
• Review customer data to ensure compliance with print drawing intent.
• Utilize predetermined methods, setups, and specifications for inspection processes.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Identify and report non-conformance issues, quarantining non-compliant products as necessary.
• Follow procedures for verifying dimensions and adherence to work instructions.
• Utilize calibrated measurement instruments and maintain proper handling.
