Job summary

Stella Maris Inc. in Timonium, Maryland, is seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse to support the Nursing Department with audits and compliance across units. The full-time, onsite role requires an active Maryland RN or LPN license and at least 3 years in long-term care.

Expect collaboration with Education and interdisciplinary teams to drive QAPI initiatives. Salary is hourly, with a pay range of $38.05 to $57.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Maryland RN or LPN license.
• 3 years in Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing environments.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations including survey processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Management (Six Sigma, Lean) a plus.
• Proficient in using Point Click Care and related online resources.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate nursing performance and patient care through data collection and audits for regulatory compliance.
• Analyze resident care data to identify trends and ensure adherence to policies and standards; collaborate on teaching plans with Education.
• Investigate self-reports to the State, nursing complaints, and adverse events; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with health care teams to establish best practices and design staff training to target improvements.
• Assist in developing and reviewing resident care policies to align with quality standards; monitor compliance.
• Prepare and present reports on quality improvement initiatives and outcomes to residents and stakeholders.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to review opportunities for QAPI interventions.
