Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support quality assurance initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Engineering, and Warranty teams to ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements.

The successful candidate will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor, analyze data, tackle defects, and drive continuous quality improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Quality Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years on a customer-facing quality/engineering role or 6+ years in manufacturing quality
• Experience leading quality improvement projects and CAPA implementation
• Experience with PFMEA, MSA, and PPAP is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide quality engineering support for production operations and processes
• Investigate defects, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Support containment and disposition of nonconforming material
• Participate in internal and external audits and quality planning
• Lead or support quality improvement projects across departments
• Track action effectiveness and sustain solutions
