Job summary

Sysco Anchorage is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to oversee product quality in value-added, inventory control, merchandising and receiving. This hands-on role ensures HACCP compliance and quality checks are completed accurately and on schedule.

You will coach QA technicians, verify GMP adherence, operate the metal detector, and support training on food safety programs. The position requires a high school diploma and HACCP training, with at least one year in a QA role in produce.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HACCP training required.
• Familiarity with GMPs and SOPs.
• 1 year produce QA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify HACCP checks and supporting documents.
• Perform preoperational inspection including ATP testing.
• Ensure GMPs, HACCP, and SOP compliance across value-added and related teams.
• Operate metal detector.
• Assist with training on food safety programs.
• Identify CCP non-conformities and respond with corrective actions.
• Maintain secured chemical storage.
• Communicate issues to Value-Added Leadership promptly.
• Conduct environmental testing per SOP.
