Job summary

The Weir Group in Candler, Florida, is seeking a Pump Assembly Technician to assemble, inspect, and finish pumps per engineering drawings and BOMs. You will complete assemblies safely, accurately, and on schedule with minimal rework.

You&’ll read blueprints, verify dimensions, and work with hand tools, power tools, grinders, and hoists while collaborating with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams. A strong safety and quality mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with pump assembly or similar fields.
• Ability to read blueprints and BOMs accurately.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, finish, inspect, and prepare pumps daily per drawings and BOMs.
• Verify dimensions and alignment using precision tools; perform final inspections.
• Operate hand and power tools, grinders, hoists; ensure safe production.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Machining, and Shipping.
• Maintain accurate production records and support 5S workplace standards.
• Minimal travel; adhere to safety and environmental policies.
