Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Public Outreach Specialist to support the LAX ATMP Roadways and Enabling Projects. The role is onsite at LAX, coordinating outreach to travelers, residents, businesses, and agencies and maintaining engagement records.

You will help prepare notices, advisories, and updates, manage databases, and contribute to presentations, FAQs, and outreach materials while coordinating events and communications with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Public Administration, Planning, Political Science, or a related field.
• Experience in public outreach, public relations, communications, community engagement, or a related field.
• Experience supporting public infrastructure, transportation, aviation, construction, or government projects preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with proofreading and quality control abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing stakeholder engagement and communications plans.
• Track inquiries, address comments, and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare and distribute traffic advisories, notices, and updates.
• Maintain stakeholder databases and distribution lists.
• Draft routine correspondence, meeting notices, and outreach materials.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, FAQs, and informational materials.
• Coordinate logistics for public outreach events and meetings.
• Support website updates, CMS content, and social media activities.
• Assist with media event prep and press material distribution.
• Maintain outreach logs and engagement databases.
