Job summary

EVONA is seeking an Electronics Assembler – Engineering in East Brunswick, NJ, onsite, five days per week. The role focuses on assembling, modifying and reworking RF and microwave hardware during prototype development, with emphasis on precision soldering and attention to detail.

You will work closely with engineers on shielded assemblies, read drawings, and perform PCB rework as needed, using microscopes and hand tools. This is a hands-on position demanding accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on electronics assembly and soldering experience.
• Ability to solder small surface-mount components under a microscope.
• Experience reading assembly drawings and following detailed work instructions.
• Ability to identify electronic components and understand polarity and orientation.
• Experience with cable assembly, crimping, harnessing and chassis wiring.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and RF modules using drawings, work orders and visual instructions.
• Solder small surface-mount components under a microscope, including components as small as 0402.
• Perform PCB rework and support modifications to prototype assemblies.
• Complete wire termination, crimping, cable/harness assembly and chassis wiring.
• Install components such as heatsinks, fans, covers, relays and transformers.
• Inspect assemblies for accuracy, component orientation and soldering quality.
• Identify assembly errors and communicate corrective actions to Engineering.
• Follow applicable electronics assembly quality standards and internal procedures.
