Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company seeks an Intern Project Engineer for the 2026-27 school year in Seattle. The role supports project teams with site logistics coordination, scheduling, estimating, BIM/VDC, and document control on a part-time basis (about 20 hours per week).

The position offers hands-on experience on a live project site, with opportunities to work across preconstruction through closeout under supervision, and to learn from seasoned engineers at Hoffman.

Qualifications

• Education background in construction methods and materials.
• Pursuit of an engineering or architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience organizing technical data and understanding CSI specs.
• Ability to work with trades in a field environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings and technical manuals.
• Publish meeting minutes, schedules, and activity checklists.
• Receive and distribute RFIs and change documents.
• Organize and file record documents.
• Field surveying and layout of control lines.
• Information storage and retrieval using computers.
