Job summary

Kimmel & Associates represents a well-established construction client in Forestville, MD seeking a Project Engineer for heavy civil and underground utility projects across the Mid-Atlantic. This full-time, onsite position involves supporting project planning, cost control, documentation, procurement, and execution with PMs and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 1-2 years of construction experience, or 3-4 years as Project/Office Engineer.
• Experience in heavy civil construction or underground utilities preferred.
• Ability to track, report, and manage job costs accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with project setup, budgets, quantity takeoffs, purchasing, and cost reporting.
• Process payment requisitions, invoices, monthly billings, and AR documentation.
• Prepare submittals, drawings, RFIs, change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Maintain project records and documentation including drawings and specs.
• Assist with CPM schedules, look-ahead schedules, and tracking delays/changes.
• Prepare change orders for PM review and approval.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Support weekly project meetings and coordinate multiple projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Experience as Project Engineer or Office Engineer
