Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Operations team on a Chicago, IL project. This is a full-time, in-person position.

You will coordinate on-site trade activities, manage material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, and interact with field supervision to control costs and design issues. Read construction documents, prepare cost estimates and quantity surveys, and contribute to overall trade management with exposure to BIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering or 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication and time management skills; strong collaboration.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with project documentation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site trade activities and management of material design, fabrication, delivery and installation.
• Interact with field supervision and manage cost and design issues (change orders, RFIs, document updates).
• Read and understand Construction Documents and Specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Oversee trade management with exposure to BIM
