Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America seeks a Production Planner to develop and communicate manufacturing schedules across facilities, ensuring alignment with demand, inventory targets, and capacity constraints. The role requires daily on-site presence at the mine site and close collaboration with operations, materials planning, procurement, and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply management, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in supply management or production planning or related discipline.
• ER P system experience (JDE/Oracle/SAP) for planning/purchasing/scheduling/material tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules for assigned locations.
• Coordinate with operations leadership on timing, sequencing, and resources to meet demand.
• Evaluate equipment, labor, material, and warehouse capacity for scheduling.
• Support purchasing: PO entry, supplier delivery monitoring, and material follow-up.
• Manage plans to meet finished goods targets while minimizing downtime and overtime.
• Monitor orders, forecasted and unforecasted demand, and safety stock.
• Adjust plans for promotions, holidays, and logistics constraints.
• Review demand trends to plan for runouts and lifecycle events.
• Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to improve service levels.
• Support projects and supplier reviews with data analysis.
