Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Production Planner to optimize production schedules, manage material requirements and maximize on-time delivery to customers. This role is 100% onsite and reports to the Manager of Production Planning.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, 3 years in production planning or related fields, APICS certification, and a solid understanding of integrated planning, manufacturing processes and scheduling tools such as MES and SIMIO

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• APICS certification.
• Knowledge of integrated planning and scheduling concepts and techniques.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes, computer applications, and scheduling methods to control process flow.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedule to meet customer demands and guide material requirements.
• Incorporate constraints and outages into the plan to improve equipment and staffing utilization.
• Monitor inventory availability to avoid disruptions to production plans.
• Coordinate schedules across departments and issue production orders on the shop floor.
• Monitor and report order status and analyze delays to propose corrective actions.
• Support MES and planning tools like SIMIO in ongoing operations.
