Job summary

Medical Devices Company in Sumter, SC, offers a 12-month Procurement / Supply Chain Intern contract. This role, 40 hours weekly, provides hands-on experience supporting purchasing operations, supplier coordination, and data analysis in our Supply Chain organization.

Reporting to the leadership team, you will help improve procurement visibility, support cross-functional teams, and learn procurement systems, ERP (SAP), and reporting tools while contributing to delivery, cost, and service goals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support daily purchasing operations and PO management.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports (OTD, lead times, risk analysis).
• Validate and cleanse supplier and material master data.
• Assist inventory and material flow analysis.
• Collaborate with Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance to resolve issues.
• Contribute to process improvements and digitization (Excel, SharePoint).
• Document basic procurement procedures (SOPs).
• Support supplier performance tracking.
