Job summary

Perryman Company Partnership seeks a Process Engineer to perform a range of engineering tasks under supervision, with a view to developing advanced applied engineering and managerial skills. The role supports the melting shop and development of new equipment and processes, onsite in Coal Center, PA.

Responsibilities include optimizing processes, reporting on status, tracking metrics, and ensuring compliance with ISO-9000 and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering fields such as Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Metallurgy or Material Science.
• Internship in related field highly desired.
• Experience using an ERP database is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
• Basic understanding of ISO-9000.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Provides general support to the engineering department and assigned operation.
• Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
• Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.
• Assembles reports to document process status and changes.
• Tracks metrics to identify improvements and monitor upgrades.
• Communicates findings and proposals to shop manager and upper management.
• Provides training for successful implementation of process changes.
• Ensures compliance with safety and quality standards with cross-functional partners.
• Verifies and tests assigned metrics on projects.
• Identifies areas for product and process improvement and develops solutions.
• Ensures compliance with company and client quality requirements.
• Identifies and reports problems to shop manager and metallurgical staff.
• Involved in developing new methods to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
