Job summary

Dover Food Retail, part of Dover Corporation, seeks a dynamic Tool & Die Maker for our new South Chesterfield, VA manufacturing operations. You will design, make, and repair tools, supporting engineering and maintenance with prototypes and parts.

Qualifications include a machinist certificate or equivalent, 5+ years in a tool and die shop, and proficiency in MasterCam, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Excellent blueprint skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of precision measuring tools, layout tools, and bench tools.
• Metallurgy and heat treatment understanding.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional or CNC equipment to shape parts.
• Operate tool room equipment to make and repair dies.
• Study blueprints and specifications to plan fabrication sequences.
• Assist prototypes from engineering and maintenance departments.
• Select metals based on hardness and heat treatment properties.
• Weld, measure, and heat treat as needed.
• Maintain and assist in other maintenance tasks.
