Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is hiring an onsite Machinist/Assembler at the Opa-Locka, FL site. You will install bushings, bearings, sleeves, and shims on aircraft programs and perform precision machining per specifications.

Requires HS diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience (or 4 years without HS). Must read blueprints and use close tolerance tools; SAP experience preferred. Onsite role with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree or equivalent with minimum two years of relevant experience.
• If no HS diploma, four years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and use close tolerance measurement instruments.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install bushings, bearings, sleeves, and metal shims on aircraft programs.
• Overhaul according to manual specifications using machinery and hydraulic presses.
• Use close tolerance measurement instruments to ensure CMM specification compliance.
• Execute bush bore functions utilizing light machining (Lathe/bush work).
