Job summary

Aerotek in Fairfield, OH is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join the team assembling conveyor systems and material handling equipment. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and assemble mechanical components with precision.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, safety focus, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with a pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. This is a contract-to-hire onsite position offering benefits and opportunities for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, construction, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assemble conveyor systems and related mechanical components according to blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and tape measurements accurately.
• Utilize hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, wrenches, and measuring instruments.
• Align, fit, and secure mechanical parts and assemblies to required specifications.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality control guidelines.
