Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Compressor Mechanic to perform disassembly, cleaning, repair and reassembly of low and high pressure reciprocating equipment at our Pearland shop. You will perform inspections, measure parts, document data, and follow standards to ensure quality and reliability.

The role requires reading blueprints, using micrometers and calipers, and maintaining safety with EPA/OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend instructions in English.
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience with reciprocating compressor equipment exposure.
• Some computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews incoming repair documentation and gathers necessary tooling and equipment.
• Follows standards and procedures and documents data.
• Reads drawings and works from blueprints and standards.
• Performs cleaning of components and records initial conditions.
• Performs visual and dimensional inspections and records key data.
• Operates tooling to repair components.
• Uses measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Identifies repairs beyond scope and communicates with team leader.
• Cleans, assembles and inspects at reassembly stages.
• Completes documentation of inspections.
• Maintains safe, clean working environment.
