Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. in Monroe, NJ is seeking a Pre-Install Copier Technician I (Tech, Config/Rem PreInstl I). The Pre-Install Technician I performs basic pre-install and setup of all assigned machines per Canon USA Pre-Install/Configuration Shop Standards.

Begins OJT training in configuration, with potential used equipment evaluations. This full-time, on-site role requires lifting, travel to RDCs, and training across segments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus less than one year of related experience.
• Degree in Electronics, or equivalent training, with at least 1 year Electrical/Mechanical industry experience, or at least three months hands on pre-install experience as a temporary employee.
• Good working knowledge of personal computers, general and office application software.
• Basic understanding of networking.
• Capable of accessing E-support via a computer and using other on-line tools.
• Capable of updating System Software on Canon connected device.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned pre-installs/configurations each day at or above the benchmark for the model.
• Maintains monthly average labor time for commands.
• Achieves monthly accountability per shop matrix.
• Maintains high work quality and conformance with standards.
• Maintains all Canon property and information.
• Communicates with team and internal departments for timely completion of work.
• Assists and cross-trains in other Logistics functions.
• Available to work overtime, including weekends.
• Follows shop processes and preserves cleanliness and security.
